Delivering farming activities with such a varied group of Day-farmers can be complicated, especially as people’s needs may vary throughout the day depending upon a range of different factors. As a result, we adopt a dynamic approach throughout the day to all farm tasks managing the risks associated with both the task and the specific needs of the Day-farmer undertaking it. All members of staff at Gortilea are all access NI checked. Gortilea also carry £5m of public liability insurance. A copy of our Health and Safety Policy and a policy statement is available on request. All activities are risk assessed by our Occupational Therapist and farmer and graded to suit individual need.
